Production Class reflection

Over the years, sophisticated garment designs have been made available to everyone but undeniably, garment construction and quality have become poorer and poorer. That's why I am forever a fan of the 1960's, custom-made and tailored clothes. I've gotta learn how to do it myself!

*I do miss my aunt terribly. I've always worn clothes made to fit me from birth until I turned 12. After that, you could imagine I traded my wardrobe for jeans and shirts. As far as my memory serves me, I had 5 sets of navy inspired dresses. I think my Mama kept them. Can't wait to take photos of them when I get home!

Florals

Finally it feels spring and even my choice for fabric has been influenced by the season that is trying to set in. The buds are just beginning to grow on tips of every tree.

I contracted a throat infection from work while doing this project due to lack of proper rest and enough sleep. I get sneezed at, coughed at and breathed at in my workplace so you can picture the rest. On Wednesday night, I got home at 10:30pm due to crazy train schedule when I was homebound. Then on Thursday afternoon, I found this floral fabric in a small store near my workplace, that has automatically become my tiny piece of heaven for fabrics. =) I went home and went crazy making this dress causing me to sleep late again.

Friday---my body complained the whole day with chills!

I never picked up the dress to finish. I still want to live!

I was in bed the whole Friday after work for energy the next day. My LAA had something very important to do so JB was with me in school. We dropped by MACYS flower show.

Soft versus sharp

The first two designs of my fashion fairytale---more to come!

The concept? A unicorn who wants to shed off her softness over to some sharp modern mortal wardrobe.

Interchangeable suits:

knotch collar, set in sleeves on a fitted jacket over a pencil skirt with a sharp knotch collar with faux fur, set in sleeves on a fitted A-line jacket over capri pants.

My son's own Lego design---he is breaking rules too, using the doors as windows or panels as he says.

Olivia Wilde makes it to Olivefotografix because of her inspiring make up, haircut and costume in the movie Tron.
